Stanley Zhang is a director and cinematographer based in Melbourne.

He started out as a camera assistant on CCTV’s documentary programme Ren Wu in Beijing. Over the next ten years he directed and shot commercials, brand films, documentaries and features, for brands including adidas and Hilton. In 2012 he directed and shot Robert McKee in China. He later founded his own production company in Beijing, producing and directing web films and series.

He moved to Melbourne in 2023. He shoots for local brands and institutions there, and also makes short films with AI.

He works in Mandarin and English, and helps crews from China film in Australia.
